CEU Requirements at a Glance

All Registered Reflexology Therapists (RRTs) must meet the following continuing education requirements to maintain their registration with ACART.

Directly related to the scope of practice of reflexology therapy. A minimum of 10 CEUs must come from this category.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many CEUs do I need per cycle?
All Registered Reflexology Therapists (RRTs) are required to accumulate a minimum of 20 CEUs over a reporting cycle of 2 years. Of those 20 CEUs, at least 10 must come from Primary Activities. The remaining 10 may come from either Primary or Secondary Activities.
What counts as a Primary Activity?
Primary Activities are directly related to the scope of practice of reflexology therapy. Examples include anatomy, physiology, reflexology theory and techniques, client assessment, clinical documentation, ethics, pathology, business development, and inter-professional relations, among others.
What counts as a Secondary Activity?
Secondary Activities are complementary to reflexology therapy but not a direct part of its scope of practice. Examples include acupressure, aromatherapy, craniosacral therapy, massage therapy, nutrition, reiki, tai chi, and other health-care related modalities subject to Board of Directors approval.
How do I submit my CEUs?
You can submit your CEUs online using the reporting form on this page. Simply click the "Report Your CEUs Now" button above, or download the blank CEU reporting form, complete it, and submit it to the ACART admin team. You can also download the full CEU Program Manual for detailed instructions.

What happens if I do not submit my CEUs
Supporting documentation must be submitted in a timely manner to avoid delays or penalties.

Important:
Completed Activity Report Forms must be submitted by December 31 of your reporting cycle.
A $25 late fee applies to overdue forms and supporting documentation.
Members who remain delinquent for more than one month will be suspended.
Suspensions remain in effect until all required forms, documentation, and fees are received.
A $25 administration fee is required to reactivate membership after suspension.

ACART requires members to maintain continuing education and professional development in support of professional standards, public safety, and ongoing competency.
