Membership in the Association shall be open to individuals and organizations that meet membership criteria and have the desire to help further the objectives of the Association.

Registered Reflexology Therapist
Registered Reflexology Therapists
Practicing – Individuals who are actively practicing. They meet membership criteria including professional liability insurance coverage and abide by the By-laws, Codes of Conduct and Ethics, and Standards of Practice of the Association.
The following minimal educational standards must be met by the applicant upon applying to the ACART membership category of practicing Registered Reflexology Therapist (RRT). Graduation from a professional certification training program whose curriculum includes:
a minimum component of 180 theoretical and clinical hours
supervised clinical experience
a practicum of 60 hours minimum
certification in First Aid/CPR training
Practitioners who have graduated from a training institute which does not meet with ACART’s minimum standards of a 300-hour curriculum will be referred to a recognized school of Reflexology therapy and will be required to pass the school’s written and practical examinations.
In addition, applicants must complete the required number of case studies before becoming eligible for practicing RRT membership with ACART. The fee for these services will be determined by the instructor.
Non- Practicing
Individuals who are not actively practicing. They may remain in this category for up to one (1) year.
They will then be reclassified as either practicing Registered Reflexology Therapists or associate members.
Student
Individuals undergoing an ACART recognized course of training in Reflexology therapy. They may remain in this category for up to one (1) year.
Associate Members
Associate Members
Any person or organization with an active interest in Reflexology therapy.
Non-practicing Reflexology Therapists who have qualified at training establishments not recognized by the Association.

Practicing:
Shall have the right of voice and one vote at membership meetings.
Shall be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors of the Association and as a member or chairperson of any of its committees.
Shall be eligible for all membership programs, benefits and services.
Shall have the right to use the designation “RRT” (Registered Reflexology Therapist) after their name.
Shall be provided with a certificate of membership.
Shall be eligible to be listed with the public referral directory.
2. Non-Practicing:

Meet on-going membership requirements including continuing education units and certification in Standard First Aid/CPR.
Non-Practicing:

May not remain in this category for longer than one (1) year.
May re-enter the practicing category provided they show proof of that category’s responsibilities.
