Ways to Earn Primary CEUs

A list of resources and activities you can use toward your Primary Activity CEUs. Unless the Board determines otherwise, the standard rate is 1 CEU per hour of activity.

Books, Articles & Videos

Review a book, article, or video and submit a report, which may be published in the Association's newsletter or a professional publication. Reports under 500 words earn 1 CEU; reports of 500 words or more earn 2 CEUs.

The resources below are suggestions only and are not limited to these titles or sources. You may seek out other books, videos, articles, and educational materials that support your professional development and qualify for CEUs.

Attend a workshop, seminar, or course. Each hour counts as 1 CEU.

The schools and training options listed here are examples only. Members are welcome to seek out additional trainers, workshops, and continuing education opportunities that meet CEU requirements.

Other Qualifying Activities

Activity	CEUs
Annual/General Meeting, half-day attendance (in person or via Zoom)	3 CEUs, plus 3 more for attending the workshop portion in person
First Aid / CPR training	1 CEU per hour
Writing an article related to our scope of practice	1 CEU under 500 words, 2 CEUs at 500 words or more
Volunteering reflexology sessions in your community	1 CEU per hour, maximum 5 CEUs per year
Representing ACART at a community event	1 CEU per hour, maximum 5 CEUs per year
