World Reflexology Week 2026

September 21–27, 2026

Every September, reflexologists around the world mark World Reflexology Week, a chance to talk about what reflexology actually does, who it's for, and why it deserves a place in your regular wellness routine. Here's where ACART members and the public can find everything for the week: resources, ideas, and a few good reasons to book your next appointment.

For the public

What is reflexology, really?

Reflexology is a hands-on practice that applies focused pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, ears, and face, points that correspond to other systems and areas of the body. It's practiced as a complementary wellness therapy, not a medical treatment, and it's most often sought out for one simple reason: it helps people feel calmer, steadier, and more like themselves.

Nervous system support

A session is built around slowing down. Many clients say it's the first time all week their body actually gets to rest, a big part of why it's associated with stress and anxiety relief.

A complement to your care team

Reflexology works alongside medical treatment, not instead of it. It's commonly used to support comfort and quality of life, during pregnancy, recovery, or an ongoing treatment plan, in coordination with your other providers.

Something to feel, not just believe in

You don't need to be convinced first. Most people notice the effects of a session directly: looser shoulders, slower breathing, an easier night's sleep.

A rhythm, not a one-time fix

Like most wellness practices, reflexology tends to do the most for people who come back. Many ACART members offer packages or standing appointments for exactly this reason.

World Reflexology Week is the perfect nudge to introduce a friend to reflexology, or to finally book the session you've been putting off for yourself.

This week runs September 21–27, 2026, across Atlantic Canada and around the world.

How to take part

World Reflexology Week is ACART's biggest chance each year to put reflexology in front of new people across Atlantic Canada. Here are a few simple ways to take part, in your own clinic, on your own channels, in your own words.

Four easy ways to join in

Open your doors

Run a mini open house, a discounted intro session, or a walk-in hour on one day of the week. It's the easiest way to get new faces on your table.

Post with the hashtags

Tag your posts so ACART and other members can find and share them. See the tags below.

Put it in your space

Print a flyer or a few take-home cards about the week and leave a stack at your front desk or reception table.

Tell your own reflexology story

Share why you got into reflexology, or a client story (with permission) about the difference it's made.

Shareable graphics

Ready-made graphics for your feed or stories. Download any of these and post them as they are, no design work needed.
