About ACART

What is ACART?

ACART, the Atlantic Canada Association of Reflexology Therapists, is a professional association dedicated to upholding standards, ethics, and excellence in reflexology practice across Canada.

Our History

Established in 2005, ACART began as the Nova Scotia Association of Reflexology Practitioners (NSARP), founded by grassroots practitioners seeking credibility and connection. By 2016, as the profession expanded beyond one province, NSARP evolved into ACART to serve reflexologists across Atlantic Canada and throughout the nation.

Mission

To assist and advocate for certified reflexology therapists by maintaining shared standards, offering continuing education, and promoting ethical practice while informing the public about qualified reflexology care.

Our Board of Directors

ACART is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors who bring commitment, professional experience, and a shared vision for advancing reflexology across the region. The Board provides governance, oversees strategic direction, supports member services, and ensures ACART meets its mission of upholding professional standards.

Plus five General Board Members, who contribute a member-centered perspective to decision-making, planning, and association communication. Directors serve two-year terms; elections take place at the Annual General Meeting and General Meetings among members in good standing.

ACART operates through an elected Board and enforces a comprehensive Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and governance bylaws ensuring accountability and transparency.
